Pergie’s beginnings are as dramatic and captivating as she is to look at. It happens often in stories filled with whimsy and fantasy that fictional characters search for and find a home (a.k.a. an imagination) in which to settle down and set-up shop, with no intention of ever leaving!

It is exactly in this manner that Pergie® came to be. She came as stealthily and easily in her 6 inch platforms to the mind of her eventual creator, Monica M. Luburich and it was love at first sight! Such was the pre-occupation with the character inhabiting her imagination that it eventually became Monica’s drive to create a whole company surrounding it. As such, she embarked on a literal journey to find all the moving pieces needed to make this dream a reality. Little did she know how challenging this journey would be or how far it would take her! So specific were Pergie’s characteristics and so precise was her vision that one could easily imagine Pergie® herself pulling Monica’s strings to ensure that the integrity of her character would be expressed as she put together an artistic and production team that would assist in eventually giving her life. As the stewardess of a great treasure, Monica took this task to heart: She rummaged through many artistic and printing communities before finding the most dazzling gems that would become part of her team.

With the assistance of Monica’s father, a brilliant engineer whose other passion is applied mathematics; they came up with a formula that would give Pergie® the aesthetic she has become known for. It was never meant to mimic reality and this is why her exaggerated characteristics are so captivating. As she embodies women all over the world, Pergie® comes in a variety of personalities, hair colors, ethnicities but all embody the very soul of women, true enigmas: Sexy and driven, witty and wicked, nurturing and sensual, decadent and savvy. Through our illustrations, Pergie® embarks on all the whims and passions that enrich our lives: fashion, friendships, relationships, career, motherhood, etc..
